Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, born July 5, 1980 in Johnston, Rhode Island, is famous for his overly-geled coif. As one of the stars of MTV’s Jersey Shore, he romanced several ladies on the show, including fellow castmate Jenni “J-Woww” Farley. His most memorable romance, however, was the “stage five clinger” named Daniellea Teboul, who famously stalked him on the boardwalk while he tried to pick up other girls.
DelVecchio takes pride in his appearance, spending 25 minutes on his hair, no less than twice a day- – once in the morning and once before he goes out. He also owns a tanning bed in his home.
The fame that Jersey Shore brought DJ Pauly D greatly helped him become even more successful as a DJ. He worked in various hot spots after the show, including many Las Vegas, Nevada clubs. He also starred in several spinoffs, including his current show, Double Shot at Love.
Besides the fact that Jersey Shore made a comeback as the reboot Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Pauly also had another show lined up alongside his best friend and fellow Jersey Shore roommate, Vinny Guadagnino. Double Shot At Love was a take on The Bachelor as Vinny and Pauly lived together in a house and a bunch of ladies that were trying to win one of their hearts. The premise of the show was pretty much the same as The Bachelor, however, it had it’s own Jersey Shore spin on it.
Paul DelVecchio was born on July 5, 1980 and raised in the Providence, Rhode Island area. The son of Donna DiCarlo and Paul D. DelVecchio Sr, Pauly D is 100% of Italian descent (in his own words). He has a sister named Vanessa. Pauly D attended Johnston High School.
Career: 2009-to date
DJ Pauly D began his career as a local DJ under the name “Pauly D,” and one of his professional idols was DJ AM. Pauly D hit enormous fame amongst young people overnight as one of the cast members of MTV reality series Jersey Shore in 2009. Pauly D said he was chosen for the show not for his music, but because of his look. A casting director sent him a MySpace message asking for his number, then subsequently sent a camera crew to Rhode Island to film a day in his life. Six months later Pauly D was cast on the show, and he was met with major fandom. In 2011, he won the Teen Choice Award for Favorite Reality Star: Male. At the height of Jersey Shore, Pauly D was making a reported $150,000 per episode.
Pauly D was hand-selected by MTV for his own spinoff show, and in 2012 he became the first housemate from Jersey Shore to get his own spinoff, titled The Pauly D Project. Its first episode premiered on March 29, 2012.
Pauly D released a single, Beat Dat Beat (It’s Time To) in 2010. In 2011, he announced a pending three-album deal with 50 Cent’s G-Unit Records and G-Note Records. This deal was later confirmed by 50 Cent. In 2010 and 2011, after his success with Jersey Shore had raised his notoriety, he was nominated for America’s Best DJ competition. In 2011, he announced that he would be opening for Britney Spears on her Femme Fatale Tour and in 2012 began collaborating with Big Sean. He released his first single Back to Love, on January 15, 2012. It featured vocals by British singer Jay Sean. Pauly D released single Did You Know (with Tdot ILLdude) in 2016. Pauly D’s third single, Silver & Gold, featuring James Kaye, was released April 5, 2019. He has yet to release a full album as of this writing.
Pauly D net worth
DJ Pauly D has a net worth of a whopping $20 million. He was not born into money and neither did some crazy investment or business tactic stuff. He’s banked on the fact that he’s a DJ and a reality-TV actor and has ever since been an entertainment star and fans flock around him for that. He is particularly popular with audiences in the UK and the USA; his appearance on Jersey Shore has a lot to do with his phenomenal rise and his inclusion in the mainstay fray of celebrities that frequent hotspots in the UK and USA.
Pauly D, who’s been seen behind the turntables lately, dropped around $170,000 for a few items, which included a diamond Cuban link chain, a 14-carat gold chain, and a Rolex President watch. The watch was originally plain but Avianne & Co. iced it for him with diamonds. The Cuban link chain features 120 carats and 14k yellow gold.

He met Aubrey O’Day on the show, who he married, and the two joined the cast of Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars 11 in 2018.
Jersey Shore: Family Vacation
In 2018, DelVecchio rejoined the Jersey Shore castmates for a sequel series, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation set in Miami. Along with former Jersey Shore castmate Vinny Guadagnino, Pauly D also appeared in the MTV reality dating series Double Shot at Love in April 2019. Pauly D has a strong social media following. These days, Pauly D has quite the following that’s very loyal to him. As a result, he was offered a residency in Las Vegas where fans from all over the world can go and party the night away with Pauly. In March of 2019, Pauly inked a deal for a residency at Drai’s Beach Club in Las Vegas for two years. There’s been no word on whether or not his residency will be extended due to the coronavirus pandemic, but with fans like Pauly’s, they’ll definitely want him back.
It seems like everywhere you turn you’ll see Pauly D on MTV. Of course he’s on Jersey Shore, and now A Double Shot At Love, but fans love Pauly and his bromance with Vinny so much that MTV decided to give them another show. Revenge Prank recently premiered on MTV, and it reminds us a lot of Punk’d. Vinny and Pauly team up with people who want revenge due to a prank played on them. They come up with some crazy ideas to prank the person back, and hilarity ensues.
Famously Single & Marriage Bootcamp
In 2016, DelVecchio joined the cast of Famously Single on the E! network. The show follows eight single celebrities who move in together to examine their romantic problems.
In 2018, he joined the cast Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars 11 with Aubrey O’Day. The couple first met while filming Famously Single. In 2019, DelVecchio was part of the cast of Game of Clones, a dating show where he was looking for a Megan Fox lookalike. In 2020, DelVecchio and Vinny Guadagnino were cast on another MTV reality series, Revenge Prank.
Pauly D and singer Aubrey O’Day were briefly married from 2016-2018. He dated fellow Jersey Shore cast member Jenni Jwwow Farley in 2009, but the couple split after just two months. In October 2013, Pauly D announced that he was a father to a little girl named Amabella Sophia. The baby is currently living in New Jersey with her mother but there is reportedly a custody battle going on between Pauly D and the baby’s mother.
In 2013, a 33-year-old Pauly D revealed that he was a parent to daughter Amabella. The mother is Amanda Markert, a woman he had a one-night stand with in Las Vegas. While the news was a shock to the DJ, through the years, he and Amabella’s mother have worked out a coparenting schedule. For the most part, the parents have agreed to keep her out of the spotlight. According to the several media publications, the DJ, had previously tried to work out an agreement for his daughter’s birthday, but couldn’t agree on terms with Amabella’s mom and his former Las Vegas fling, Amanda Markert.
In April, the reality TV star and Markert had worked out a temporary custody agreement, so he could regularly see his daughter, but nothing has been made official through the courts, according to the insider. Pauly D put in a request for full custody, but in the meantime, the MTV star has been spoiling his little girl with lots of clothes, toys and a “ton of Jordan sneakers” to match her daddy, Radar previously reported. “I was nervous until I saw her face. When I saw her eyes light up and her arms reach out for me, it was an amazing feeling,” the proud papa said. “She is beautiful.”
